Selling a Home on Lake Palestine

The Lake Palestine area is located in the heart of East Texas forest trails, removed from Texas' big city Metropolis. Residents of this area enjoy a quality of life which affords them the atmosphere of small town America but with metropolitan conveniences and recreation only minutes away.

Quality schools, medical facilities and emergency services, churches, fishing, boating, golf, entertainment, an airstrip, parks and picnic areas, beautiful Dogwood in the Spring, restaurants, historic sites and a host of community activities make living in this area enjoyable.

A generally mild temperature makes it possible for area residents to enjoy outdoor living for much of the year.
Temperatures range from highs slightly above 100 degrees F. in the summer to not much lower than 10 degrees most years in the winter. Hills of pine and hardwood cover the countryside and are approximately 300 to 500 feet above sea level.
The peaceful setting around Lake Palestine provides a friendly environment for a host of birds and animals. The national bird, the American Bald Eagle, has been found in recent years near the lake on FM 2661.

Besides excellent fishing on Lake Palestine, the area offers an abundance of deer, ducks and other wildlife for hunting enthusiasts. Most prevalent fish are catfish, large-mouth bass, crappie and bream. Lake Palestine is the site of a number of Bass Tournaments each year.

Golfers can find courses at Emerald Bay, Eagle’s Bluff, Oak Hurst and Dogwood Trails Golf Club to provide recreation and exercise.

Churches of several denominations Baptist, Methodist, Assembly of God, Roman Catholic and Church of Christ, as well as non-denominational community churches - serve the religious needs of the area. Churches of other faiths are available in nearby cities.
